The project, in collaboration with the Yasuaki Kakehi Laboratory, the Interfaculty Initiative in Information Studies, Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Information Studies, the University of Tokyo, and ZOZO NEXT conducts research and development of textiles starting from their materials, with the keywords “textiles expressing environmental information” and “textiles interwoven with its own environment.” Its activities—the 2021 exhibition “Ambient Weaving” is one result—still continue. In 2022, the project received an Honorary Mention at the “STARTS Prize 2022” competition, organized by the European Commission.
